Updates on the biennial report on equal opportunities for men and women

News Flash No. 23/2022


The Interministerial Decree of March 29, 2022, made public on May 17, 2022, defines the procedures and terms for drafting and submitting the biennial report on equal opportunities for men and women.


Public and private companies with more than 50 employees are required to prepare a report on the situation of male and female employees, based on the employment situation as of December 31, 2021. The reference period will therefore be 2020-2021 for all companies.


The report must be drawn up both in relation to the production units and branches as a whole, and in relation to each production unit with more than 50 employees.


Companies with fewer than 50 employees may draw up the document on a voluntary basis, and it may be useful for obtaining gender equality certification or for participating in tenders, thus providing an additional requirement in their favor.


The report will be submitted electronically by connecting to the website of the Ministry of Labor and Social Policies, using the SPID (Public Digital Identity System) or the electronic identity card (CIE) of the legal representative or another authorized person.


The deadline for submission, exceptionally for 2022 only, is set for September 30, 2022.

Once fully operational, the biennial report must be submitted by April 30 of the year following the end of each two-year period.
