Discontinuation of the INPS PIN in favor of SPID

We are writing to inform you that, effective October 1, 2020, access to INPS services, as well as to the services provided by the Ministry of Labor and Social Policies, will be available only through SPID credentials.

Access via the Public Digital Identity System (SPID) will be mandatory for everyone—businesses, professionals, and employees—with the exception of users who do not meet the eligibility requirements to apply for such credentials, such as minors and non-EU citizens. Only these latter groups will be able to use a PIN.

Everyone will therefore need to have a digital ID for services such as, for example, voluntary resignation, electronic submission of remote work agreements, maternity leave requests, and wage supplementation benefits.
