New developments regarding the Green Pass and Enhanced Green Pass

Decree Law No. 1 of January 7, 2022, made vaccination mandatory for the prevention of SARS-CoV-2 infection for Italian citizens and citizens of other European Union member states residing in Italy, as well as foreign citizens legally residing in Italy who are 50 years of age or older, except in cases of proven health risks, which must be documented and therefore certified by the patient's general practitioner or the vaccinating physician. This provision also applies to those who turn 50 after the date of entry into force of this provision (i.e., from January 8, 2022), without prejudice to the deadline of June 15, 2022.
From February 1, 2022, a fine of €100 will therefore be imposed on people over 50 who have not been vaccinated, and the fine will be imposed by the Ministry of Health through the Revenue Agency-Collection.
The duration of the vaccine Green Pass has been reduced from 9 to 6 months.
Attention! From February 15, 2022 , the Green Pass requirement will come into force (which can only be obtained after vaccination or recovery from Covid-19) (which can only be obtained after vaccination or recovery from Covid-19) will come into force for all public and private sector workers, as well as for all freelancers who are 50 years of age or older.
