News Flash n.06/2022
The Decree Law of January 7, 2022, n. 1, has mandated vaccination for the prevention of SARS-CoV-2 infection for Italian citizens and citizens of other European Union member states residing in the country, as well as foreign citizens legally residing in Italy, who have reached the age of fifty, except in cases of ascertained health risks that must be documented, and therefore certified by the patient's general practitioner or the vaccinating physician. This provision also applies to those who reach the age of fifty after the entry into force of this provision (i.e., starting from January 8, 2022), subject to the deadline of June 15, 2022.
From February 1, 2022, a penalty of 100 euros will be applied to those over 50 who have not been vaccinated, and the penalty is imposed by the Ministry of Health through the Revenue Agency-Collection.
The validity of the Green Pass for vaccination is reduced from 9 to 6 months.
Attention ! From February 15, 2022 the obligation of the reinforced Green Pass (which is obtained only after vaccination or recovery from Covid-19) comes into force for all workers in the public and private sectors, as well as for all self-employed professionals who have reached the age of 50.
