News . 33/2022

In Gazzetta No. 176 of July 29, 2022, the following was published: Legislative Decree No. 104 of June 27, 2022 (the so-called Transparency Decree), implementing Directive (EU) 2019/1152 of the European Parliament and of the Council of June 20, 2019, on transparent and predictable working conditions in the European Union.

In essence, EU Directive 2019/1152 replaces and repeals Directive 91/533/EEC, which governed the employer’s obligation to inform the employee of the terms and conditions applicable to the employment relationship. That directive was implemented by Legislative Decree No. 152/1997, a decree now amended by the publication of Legislative Decree No. 104/2022, which is the subject of this circular.
