Agreement between the ABI, the government, and labor and management: advance payment of up to 1,400 euros
On March 30, the Ministry of Labor and Social Policies, together with the Italian Banking Association (ABI) and the social partners, signed an agreement establishing a procedure for banks to advance wage supplementation payments.
Advance payments are granted to employees of employers who, even while awaiting the issuance of authorizing measures for wage supplementation due to the COVID-19 emergency, have placed those employees on zero-hour leave and have submitted applied for direct payment from INPS of wage supplementation benefits for workers eligible for such income support measures.
The employee must request an advance on the allowance from one of the banks that offer this service, along with the required documentation as specified in the annex to the ABI Agreement, as well as in accordance with the procedures in use at the bank in question.
