Subject: Law No. 162/2021: Amendments to the code referred to in Legislative Decree No. 198/2006 and other provisions on equal opportunities between men and women in the workplace.


Law No. 162/2021, with the aim of achieving true gender equality within companies, amends Legislative Decree No. 198/2006 – Equal Opportunities Code. Within the text of the law, particular attention should be paid to the new and broader definition of the concept of discrimination. The text of the law in question also introduces further substantial changes, namely:

  • The obligation to prepare a biennial report for employers with more than 50 employees (previously, the obligation applied to companies with more than 100 employees);
