Employment Promotion in Decree-Law No. 60/24

Decree-Law No. 60 of May 7, 2024, published in Gazzetta No. 105/2024 on May 7 and effective as of the following day, introduced important urgent provisions regarding cohesion policies. The measure aims to implement the reform of cohesion policy included in the revision of the PNRR (National Recovery and Resilience Plan), in order to strengthen the implementation of interventions aimed at reducing territorial disparities and promoting new businesses, self-employment, and professional activities, investing in Southern Italy to foster quality employment through:

• More stable employment contracts

• More young people and women in the workforce

• More opportunities for disadvantaged workers.

We would like to note that the effectiveness of these provisions is subject to approval by the European Commission and that, for the measures to become fully effective, we must await the issuance of the ministerial decrees referred to in the individual regulations, as well as the INPS News .

In any case, the contribution benefits are granted within the spending limits set forth in Decree No. 60/24 (the so-called “Cohesion Decree”), which is attached to this circular.
