The Promotion of Employment in Legislative Decree no.60/24

Decree-Law No. 60 of May 7, 2024, published in Official Gazzetta No. 105/2024 on May 7 and effective from the following day, introduced significant urgent provisions concerning cohesion policies. This measure aims to implement the reform of cohesion policy, integrated within the revision of the PNRR (National Recovery and Resilience Plan), to strengthen the execution of interventions designed to reduce territorial disparities and foster new businesses, self-employment, and professional activities, investing in Southern Italy to promote quality employment through:

• More stable employment contracts

• Increased participation of young workers and women in the labor market

• Enhanced opportunities for disadvantaged workers.

We preface by stating that the effectiveness of these provisions is contingent upon authorization from the European Commission, and for the full operationalization of these measures, it is necessary to await the issuance of the ministerial decrees referenced by individual regulations, as well as the operational News from INPS.

Nevertheless, the contribution benefits are granted within the spending limits specified in Decree No. 60/24 (the so-called “Cohesion Decree”), which we attach to this News.
