2025 Maternity Bonus and important news about blood donation

As regards the first important change, INPS issued instructions on how to access the new 2025 Mothers' Bonus in News 139 of October 28, 2025.
Please note that this bonus is an income supplement reserved for working mothers with two or more children, introduced by Decree Law No. 95 of June 30, 2025 (the so-called "Omnibus Decree"), converted, with amendments, by Law No. 118 of August 8, 2025.
The new 2025 Mothers' Bonus consists of the payment of €40 per month for each month or fraction of a month of validity:
· an employment relationship, public or private, excluding domestic employment;
who have two children (including adopted children or children in pre-adoptive foster care) and until the month in which the second child reaches the age of ten, and who have an annual income from employment not exceeding €40,000.
and:
· registration of self-employed working mothers with compulsory self-employed social security schemes, including the professional pension funds referred to in Legislative Decree No. 509 of June 30, 1994, and Legislative Decree No. 103 of February 10, 1996, and the separate fund referred to in Article 2, paragraph 26, of Law No. 335 of August 8, 1995,
who have two or more children and until the youngest child reaches the age of 18, for each month or fraction of a month of employment or self-employment, with an annual income from employment not exceeding €40,000, provided that the income from employment does not derive from permanent employment and, in any case, for each month or fraction of a month of employment or self-employment not coinciding with those of permanent employment.
