Subject: Minimum Wage Standards Effective June 1, 2023: Unionmeccanica Confapi National Collective Bargaining Agreement for the Industry – Impact
On June 16, 2023, Unionmeccanica Confapi and the trade unions Fim-Cisl, Fiom-Cgil, and Uilm-Uil signed a memorandum, thereby implementing the draft agreement to renew the National Collective Bargaining Agreement of May 26, 2021, regarding adjustments to minimum wages, travel allowances, and on-call allowances.
It has been noted that the HICP (Harmonized Index of Consumer Prices for European Union countries) for 2022, excluding major energy costs, stood at 6.6%, which is higher than the percentage increase in the standard reference minimums already projected.
Accordingly, the new minimum rates effective June 1, 2023, are confirmed below (see the far-right column):

Based on the final inflation rate for 2022, measured using the HICP excluding major energy prices as reported by ISTAT and amounting to 6.6%, the parties also adjusted the flat-rate travel allowance and the on-call allowance in effect as of May 31, 2023.
