Introduction of an additional requirement for employers when hiring new employees.

Effective April 1, 2026, a new and additional requirement will take effect for companies wishing to take advantage of social security contribution incentives for hiring employees.

Pending the issuance of the implementing decree, the key points regarding the new requirement are briefly summarized below:

Pursuant to Article 14, paragraph 1, of the so-called Occupational Health and Safety Decree (Decree-Law No. 159/2025, converted, with amendments, by Law No. 198/2025), effective April 1, 2026, employers intending to apply for social security contribution incentives when hiring new employees must publish in advance the job posting on a dedicated portal called SIISL, which stands for Information System for Social and Labor Inclusion.
