National Collective Bargaining Agreement for the Metalworking Industry – New Minimum Wages

On June 11, 2024, the social partners—Federmeccanica, Assistal, Fim, Fiom, and Uilm—signed a memorandum of understanding supplementing the National Collective Bargaining Agreement for the Metalworking Industry, in order to adjust the minimum wage scales by level, effective June 1, 2024, following the official announcement of the percentage value of the IPCA-NEI index (excluding major energy costs) calculated for 2023.

The officially announced IPCA-NEI index stands at 6.9%; therefore, the adjustment to the contractual minimum wages scheduled to take effect with the payment of this installment as of June 1, 2024, will amount to 137.52 euros for level C3 (formerly the fifth level).

Below are the new minimum rates effective June 1, 2024:

Effective June 1, 2024, the aforementioned new minimum pay scales by level shall, for all intents and purposes, replace the minimum pay scales effective June 1, 2024, as set forth in the table included in the text of the National Collective Bargaining Agreement of February 5, 2021.
