On June 11, 2024, the social partners—Federmeccanica, Assistal, Fim, Fiom, and Uilm—signed a memorandum of understanding supplementing the National Collective Bargaining Agreement for the Metalworking Industry, with the aim of adjusting the minimum wage scales by level, effective as of June 1, 2024, following the official announcement of the percentage value of the IPCA-NEI index (excluding major energy costs) calculated for 2023.
The officially published IPCA-NEI index stands at 6.9%; therefore, the adjustment to the contractual minimum wages scheduled to take effect with the payment of this installment on June 1, 2024, will amount to €137.52 for level C3 (formerly the fifth level).
The new minimum rates effective June 1, 2024, are as follows:
Levels | Minimum pay scales by level effective June 1, 2024 |
D1 | 1.719,67 |
D2 | 1.906,99 |
C1 | 1.948,18 |
C2 | 1.989,38 |
C3 | 2.130,56 |
B1 | 2.283,65 |
B2 | 2.449,99 |
B3 | 2.735,18 |
A1 | 2.800,71 |
Effective June 1, 2024, the aforementioned new minimum wage amounts by pay grade shall fully replace the minimum wage amounts effective June 1, 2024, as set forth in the table included in the text of the National Collective Bargaining Agreement of February 5, 2021.
