The Transport Bonus is a measure introduced by the Government as income support and to combat potential impoverishment, established by the Aid Decree (Article 35, Decree-Law No. 50 of May 17, 2022) and converted with amendments into Law No. 91 of July 15, 2022.
The initiative, carried out in collaboration with the Ministry of Sustainable Infrastructure and Mobility, also represents an incentive to promote sustainable mobility and provides concrete assistance to workers and students.
This bonus is granted to individuals who, in 2021, earned a total annual income of no more than €35,000, and is paid in the form of a "voucher" that can be used to purchase annual or monthly passes for local, regional, and interregional public transport services or for national rail transport services.
