The Transport Bonus is a measure introduced by the Government as income support and to counteract potential impoverishment, established by the 'Decreto Aiuti' (Aid Decree) (Art. 35, Decree-Law No. 50 of May 17, 2022) and converted with amendments into Law No. 91 of July 15, 2022.
The initiative, implemented in conjunction with the Ministry of Infrastructure and Sustainable Mobility, also represents an incentive for promoting sustainable mobility and concrete assistance for workers and students.
This Bonus is granted to individuals who, in 2021, achieved an annual aggregate income not exceeding 35,000 Euros, and is issued in the form of a 'voucher' usable for the purchase of annual or monthly passes for local, regional, and interregional public transport services or for national railway transport services.
