As previously announced in our News, Legislative Decree No. 105 of June 30, 2022, introduced a new economic treatment for parental leave, specifically equalizing the average daily remuneration (which serves as the basis for calculating the entitled economic indemnity) with that of mandatory maternity leave. This equalization, therefore, includes the daily pro-rata share related to the Christmas bonus or thirteenth-month salary, and any other bonuses, monthly payments, or ancillary benefits that may be disbursed.
The new calculation of the entitled economic indemnity applies to all events arising from August 13, 2022.
