Updates on the calculation of financial compensation for parental leave

As already announced in our circular, Legislative Decree No. 105 of June 30, 2022, introduced new financial provisions for parental leave, specifically establishing that the average daily wage (used to calculate the financial allowance due) is equal to that of compulsory maternity leave, including, therefore, the daily accrual relating to the Christmas bonus or thirteenth month's salary and any other bonuses, monthly payments, or additional benefits that may be paid.

The new calculation of the financial compensation due is applied to all events occurring from August 13, 2022.

Therefore, August 13, 2022, is a watershed date:
